9 Months Old!

Theo, my sweet boy, you are NINE months old today! AGH!

I wish I could be there to hug and squeeze and kiss you, but all that love will have to wait until I see you Sunday morning. I will have lots of kisses to make up since I have been away!

Yes, you read that right... I will be staying home next year to spend time with my son! I am excited/anxious/a little nervous and many, many more emotions, but mostly I just feel like it is right. I went back and forth and forth and back and so on for months with Parker. I must have asked him, "what do YOU think I should do next year?!" about 1.36 million times. My poor husband just kept telling me it was my choice and he supports me either way....

Umm hello?!? Not the straightforward answer I was looking for!! ;)

Well, my decision has now been made and my chunky-cheeked little guy will now have TWO stay-at-home/work-from-home parents. Poor kid!

Parker and I are currently working out the kinks (I get early wake-ups and diaper duty Tues. & Thurs. etc.) while we figure out what works best for us and Theo, but 3 weeks into summer and I am loving the arrangement and extra time with Theo!

I mean... who wouldn't?!? Look at this kid!

These times are the BEST! Every day he is learning something new and different. He has started clapping, he makes these funny noises when we read him a book and he seems to show his likes and dislikes for all sorts of things. I am thrilled that I can stay home and see all these changes right in front of me!

  1. I am so happy for you! It really is amazing how quickly these little guys learn and now you won't miss a thing. Congratulations!

    1. Thank you so much :) It is amazing, I am so excited!

  2. Whoo-hoo! It's a decision you will NEVER look back on and regret. What are you planning to do from home?

    1. Sorry this is so delayed! I create lesson plans and curriculum for elementary school students on Teachers Pay Teachers - so I will be doing that while I am home! I am excited for a new chapter :)

    2. Good for you! I was wondering if you were planning to focus more attention to that. I always loved your stuff when I was teaching, so I'm sure it will continue to support you/your family for many years to come.
